Fantasy Lit/Media for Youth

MUST CHOOSE 2 or 4 credit hours, the difference between 2 and 4 credits is: 4 credit students complete two short “media evaluations,” which are informal posts that explore fan cultures, fan fiction, games, RPGs, TV series, or other ways that youth participate in fantasy subcultures beyond reading books. 4 credit students also complete a final project about a fantasy genre, which includes a class presentation and web resource. COURSE DESCRIPTION: The selection and evaluation of historical and contemporary fantasy literature and media for library collections aimed at children and young adults.
