Understanding the behavior of employees in work organizations; particular attention to the motivation of individuals to join and perform in organizations and to employee satisfaction with elements of the work environment; and emphasis on various management strategies to modify employee motivation and satisfaction.

Prerequisite: BADM 310.

In this 8-week, asynchronous course, students will explore key principles of leadership, teamwork, and professional development. Through engaging videos, readings, and interactive assignments, they will learn how to navigate the human dynamics that shape organizational success. A key component of the course is the mentorship project, where students will connect with a professional "near-peer" mentor to gain real-world insights into leadership and career growth. These meetings will be coordinated by the student and the mentor at a few points throughout the course. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with practical strategies to build strong relationships, collaborate effectively, and develop as leaders in their professional environments.
