Examines how on-going global change affects sustainability. Explores climate change, global warming, alternative biofuels, future food security, and conservation of biodiversity, and their effects on society. Course further examines how to make better use of the Earth's natural resources with little to no damage to the ecosystem, while taking into account ever mounting demands for energy resources and climate change.

Prerequisite: Course restricted to OMST or Integrative Biology graduate students in master’s degree programs.
