Topic: Critical Phenomenology in the Arts and Education: Aesthetics, Pedagogy, and Inquiry. Description: This graduate-level course explores the intersection of critical phenomenology, aesthetic philosophy, arts education, and arts-based research. It examines how these philosophical and methodological approaches can transform educational practices in the arts while critically addressing the social and political dimensions of aesthetic experience. Students will engage with foundational concepts in critical phenomenology and aesthetic theory, applying them to investigate artistic experiences within educational contexts. This course welcomes all students from the Graduate College.
