This course is for Graphic Designers who are Illustrators at heart. In this multimedia experience students will design products, merchandise and abstracted concepts. Want to design book covers, album packages, band posters, and your own characters? You name it, you can do it. The only restriction is that it must include creator-based illustration from the vantage point of Graphic Design utilizing all the elements and principles of graphic design. Students will consider a variety of media including traditional and digital combining abstracted ideas merchandising with consumer products. In this course students will: • Ideate concepts through creator-based illustrations the perspective of graphic design. • Develop your illustrative strength using the elements and principles of design. • Design an illustration-based brand book of your projects.
