Seminar is required of all first-year graduate students in Mathematics. It provides a general introduction to the courses and research work in all of the areas of mathematics that are represented at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

1 undergraduate hour. 1 graduate hour. Approved for S/U grading only. May be repeated to a maximum of 2 hours. Prerequisite: Graduate standing or consent of instructor.

This course must be taken by all first year graduate students in the department of mathematics.
