Topic: Archival Research Methods for Latina/o Community Histories Course Description: This eight-week course encourages students to engage with an expansive definition of archives, providing them with tools for interpreting archives' evidence and silences. Through state records, family albums, protest posters, oral testimony, and digital traces, we ask how power, race, and institutional priorities determine what is preserved or lost. The course also invites students to assemble an archive of Latina/o community histories that speaks to the current moment.
