Home & Away Construction Site
Section Info:
Title: Home & Away Construction Site Visits This one-hour course includes three jobsite visits at differing levels of completion. For tour 01, we will visit two Broeren Russo Project sites here on campus, the Doris Kelley Christopher Extension Project, and the Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital Addition. This tour will be on Friday 10/31/25 from approximately 10:30am to 1:30pm. Transportation will be provided from AESB to the project site and back. Tour 02 will include a visit to the Kellogg Education Center in Evanston IL being built by Power Construction adjacent to Lake Michigan. This tour will be on Friday 11/7/25 leaving at 7am and returning by 4:30pm. Transportation will be provided to and from Evanston and lunch will be provided by the Power jobsite team. PPE will be provided at the Project Site. Students will need to wear jeans/pants and work boots or hiking boots on the job tours.

JD Construction Field Visit
Section Info:
Title: John Deere Construction Field Visit Visit John Deere Construction & Forestry Division’s Training Campus on an overnight trip to tour their Davenport Works production factory, learn about their cutting-edge technology, network with students from other universities as well as John Deere executives, and have an opportunity to operate John Deere construction equipment at their training center. Lodging, transportation from campus, and meals are funded by John Deere and the ABE Department. Trip dates: 10/3-10/4.
