This rotation is designed for the Phase 3 medical student who is well versed in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is possibly interested in pursuing a residency in OB/GYN. Activities will revolve around the work up of pregnancy and pregnancy-related complications. Time will be spent on Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, the Outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic, and the Outpatient Midwifery Clinic.
4 professional hours. Approved for S/U grading only. Prerequisite: Successful completion of all Phase 2 clerkships. Restricted to students enrolled in Phase 3 of the Carle Illinois College of Medicine curriculum.
