Explores the hazards and risks of industrial chemical processes and the management of these risks. Topics include process safety management, process hazard analysis, case studies, and the engineering analyses used in the design of processes to safely handle and deal with flammable, toxic, and reactive chemicals.
3 undergraduate hours. No graduate credit. Prerequisite: CHBE 321, CHBE 421 and CHBE 422 are strongly recommended. Senior standing or consent of instructor.
