Topics include organizing literature, refining literature review searches, efficient academic reading, time management, and CV formatting. The class will collectively determine the skills to prioritize. Emphasizing skill progression through practice, the course workload leans towards homework assignments and active engagement with different ways to enact the skills. Alongside skill development, students will also engage in crafting or advancing specific pieces of writing, such as drafting a pre-prospectus, transforming a class paper into a conference paper, or composing a layperson's summary of research. Restriction(s): Restricted to Graduate - Urbana-Champaign.
