Topic Title: Literacy and Language Teaching Literacy and Language Teaching focuses on the implementation of literacy pedagogies and scholarly research on student and instructor experiences and learning outcomes. Topics will include program direction as it relates to research on literacy pedagogies. Readings and assignments focus on both practical applications and scholarly inquiry. Course is taught in English. Synchronous online attendance is restricted to non-degree seeking students outside of the Urbana-Champaign area.

Topic Title: Advanced Analytical Methods for Linguistic Research Course Description: This course offers an overview of advanced analytical methods relevant to linguistic research. The emphasis will be on a critical evaluation of current methodologies, with a focus on scientific reproducibility and transparency. As a prerequisite, students are expected to be familiar with basic statistical terms and inferential statistics. The course will utilize the R software environment for teaching.
