Section Info:
SP24 - CW 208 - Creative Nonfiction Workshop - Julie Price - What is creative nonfiction? How can something be factual and creative? Simply put, creative nonfiction is “truth, well told.” In this class you’ll learn how to effectively write true stories (about your own life!) by using many of the same tools employed in fiction writing such as setting, dialogue, and scrumptiously good specific details. As Creative Nonfiction magazine states, “It is possible to be honest and straightforward and brilliant and creative at the same time.” This is a writing workshop class, and you’ll get to choose which of your brilliant and creative pieces to share. Restriction: This class is not intended for first year students.
Restriction(s):
Not intended for students with Freshman class standing. Restricted to Undergrad - Urbana-Champaign.
