Local ecosystems and communities will be studied in terms of their physical, chemical, and biological components, structure, and processes. Field trips will be supported by local researchers and expert practitioners. Planned activities will expose students to research, assessment, planning, implementation, and monitoring methods and technologies. The course will include an online introductory session (via Zoom) on June 1st. Field sessions will be conducted over an intensive six-day period (June 5-10, 2023), after which students will have two weeks to focus on an issue of interest and prepare a formal class presentation (on June 27th and 29th).
