Language Disorders & Literacy in School-Age Children & Youth

Credit: 4 hours.

A graduate-level course on language and literacy development in children during the elementary, middle, and high school years. It is intended to provide students with the foundation to offer speech-language pathology services to school-age children and youth. Students will gain knowledge in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of language disorders and learning disabilities in school-age children and youth with an emphasis on evidence-based practice.

4 graduate hours. No professional credit. Prerequisite: SHS 320 or equivalent, or consent of instructor.
