Section Info:
This course develops career readiness competencies of LAS students as they engage in professional experiences (e.g., internship, service learning, volunteer, part-time job). Classes are offered virtually and in the evenings in order to connect with students outside of work experiences. This course is open to bachelor’s degree seeking students in LAS who have identified a professional experience that dedicates at least 60 hours of time over a prolonged engagement (for example, engaging in a spring semester experience that spans at least 10 weeks, at a minimum of 6 hours/week). The course must be completed in the term in which the professional experience is completed.

The purpose of this course is to develop professional competencies for Liberal Arts & Sciences students planning to be engaged in a professional experience (internship, service learning, part-time job, etc.) during the Spring semester. The course is designed to prepare and support students during the professional experience. In the course, students will make connections between their academic and professional goals, and the professional experience. Specific requirements on the length and hours per week of the experience will be expected, and will be discussed with instructor prior to enrollment.
