Introduction to the Humanities II: Literature & US History

Credit: 4 hours.

A foundation course in the humanities for adult learners in the Odyssey program. Team-taught by faculty in Literature and History, the course focuses on fiction, poetry, drama, and autobiography, as well as primary sources that make up the building blocks of historical interpretation. The course engages beginning students in the distinctive disciplinary forms of literary and historical inquiry, and provides academic skill building, critical thinking, and writing.

Approved for Letter and S/U grading. Prerequisite: Restricted to adult students in the Odyssey program.
