This two-week elective is designed to introduce the student to the venue of anatomic pathology and its role in patient care. Areas that may be covered in Anatomic Pathology include gastrointestinal, gynecologic, genitourinary, pulmonary, head and neck, endocrine, neuropathology, and cytopathology.
No graduate credit. 2 professional hours. Approved for S/U grading only. May be repeated in separate semesters to a maximum of 12 hours. Prerequisite: Completion of Phase 1. Restricted to students enrolled in Phase 2 or Phase 3 of the Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
