Credit: 3 hours.
Understanding of the process of land development from the perspective of both the planner and the developer. Includes and understanding of planning and zoning concepts, infrastructure needs, and incentive tools commonly used by municipalities in recruiting and facilitating land development. The course provides the student the opportunity to learn basic concepts to land development and then apply them in a land development project proposal.
Prerequisite: UP 347: Junior Planning Workshop is highly recommended or basic familiarity with GIS, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and SketchUp.
