Introduction to community interpreting and its main theoretical concepts, along with intensive practice of short and long consecutive interpreting. The major areas of community interpreting will be introduced, including interpreting in the medical and legal contexts and the interpreter code of ethics.
4 graduate hours. No professional credit. Prerequisite: Admission to the MA in Translation and Interpreting or consent of instructor.
