Credit: 1 hours.

The study of music written for and performed by brass ensembles with generally one player on each part. The repertoire includes original compositions as well as arrangements of music from different styles and genres written specifically for brass. Ensemble size is flexible, ranging from trios and quartets, to ensembles of 30 or more musicians.

1 undergraduate hour. 1 graduate hour. May be repeated in the same or separate terms, if instructors vary, to a maximum of 16 undergraduate hours or 12 graduate hours but no more than 2 hours in any one term. Prerequisite: Audition required or consent of instructor.
