Specific topics vary by semester, but may include, for example: developmentally appropriate strategies for teaching media literacy; introducing techniques and tools for evaluating media in the classroom and community; media literacy for producers and consumers; navigating social media; critical thinking and media; and media literacy, health and wellness. Meets with ADV 490 MLE, ADV 590 MLE, JOUR 460 MLU, MACS 496 MLG, MACS 496 MLU, CI 499 G, and CI 499 UG.
