The course will spotlight some of the engineering research currently on campus and provide some background preparation for students interested in taking part in research as an undergraduate. This course is open to all undergraduates in science, technology, engineering, and math. It is a requirement for students participating in the ISUR program for the first time.

The PURE program pairs graduate mentors up with undergraduate students on a semester-long research project and expects students to produce and present posters at the year-end symposium.
