Strategic planning is essential for health administrators to run healthcare organizations efficiently and effectively. This course analyzes the fundamentals of strategic planning and leadership in healthcare organizations. Students will be able to cultivate their skills in the areas of environmental assessment, diagnosis of organizational problems, identifying opportunities for improvement, formulating and selecting strategic alternatives, and creating strategic management action plans for effective implementation. Students will have the opportunity to apply the above strategic planning skills in a real-life healthcare setting.
4 graduate hours. No professional credit. Prerequisite: Restricted to Health Administration Students and MPH Students.
