Location Pending	Berenbaum, M	Part of Term: 1 Date Range: 01/18/22-05/04/22 Credit: 1 hours Section Title: Pesticide interactions with mu Section Info: Pesticide interactions with multiple stress factors - - Among the greatest challenges in evaluating impacts of pesticides on beneficial insects has been determining how co-occurring environmental stress factors influence toxicity, particularly as the number of active ingredients and adjuvants available for crop protection has increased. In this seminar, students will read recent studies examining how insecticide toxicity varies with co-occurring non-insecticide pesticides, nutritional content of diet, parasite or pathogen infection, and climate variables and will discuss experimental approaches to testing for synergistic or antagonistic interactions among stressors and policy changes needed for long-term post-release monitoring and assessment of risks of unanticipated interactions.
