Section Info:
In-depth coverage of advanced topics in human-computer interaction (HCI). Current topic is “The Quantified Self, Interactive Technology, and Quality of Life.” Due to advancements in sensors and personal informatics, the idea of a “quantified self” (QS) has become increasingly well known. The main premise is to collect and reflect on data about oneself in order to gain new insights, achieve goals or enhance quality of life. QS activities involve personal data collection, tools for data curation and processing, and visualization. Includes a QS design project of students’ choice.
