Writing for Publication provides an opportunity for students to (1) professionally engage contemporary research, audiences, and scholarly venues in fields of inquiry relevant to their own scholarly disciplines; (2) participate in a community of scholarship through discussions, formal presentations, and intensive peer reviews of one another’s research and professional writings-in-process; and (3) submit their own work to a scholarly journal or professional society for evaluation, review, and/or possible publication.

Topic: Arts-Based Research. This course offers an exploration of theories and practices of arts-based research. Arts-based research is a qualitative methodology rooted in the arts. Within this course, students will engage in readings, discussions, and activities related to this expressive and experimental form of qualitative inquiry and create their own arts-based research project. All students from the Graduate College are welcome.
