Location Pending	Corey, R Singer, A	Part of Term: 1 Date Range: 08/22/22-12/07/22 Special Approval: Instructor Approval Required Section Info: Recent advances in embedded sensing and computing technology and in audio signal processing are enabling groundbreaking advances in augmented listening technology, including hearing aids, smart headphones, and audio augmented reality. In this project-based experiential course, students will develop prototypes, design experiments, and collect data to explore the capabilities of multichannel augmented listening devices using large sensor arrays and state-of-the-art signal processing methods. The collaborative project will incorporate electronic hardware design, laboratory experiments, and data analysis. Students will also have the opportunity to pursue individual research into applications related to audio enhancement, array processing, and machine audition.
