2nd-8 weeks. BUSINESS STRATEGIES FOR PROFESSIONAL SPORT ORGANIZATIONS. This course is online with synchronous meeting times. The Cubs, National Football League (NFL), Nike, and the Olympics—all share a focus on management, marketing, and branding issues across the sports industry. This course examines those issues. Topics include new and established league and team development and marketing strategies, corporate sports sponsorship, broadcasting contracts, licensed merchandise, event management, the role of agents, and athletes as endorsers. The perspective is strategy-based with an orientation to building fans, viewers, sponsorships, and revenues.

2st 8 week of course. E-SPORT FOUNDATIONS. This course has synchronous sessions Tuesdays and Thursdays. E-Sports has quickly emerged amongst industry leaders in terms of online viewership, global competition, and sponsorship dollars. The course will examine the cross-section of trends related to social connections being formed and maintained online, digital consumption, corporate investment and global growth in the gaming audience.

Inclusive By Design
Section Info:
2nd 8-Week Class. Introduces the fundamental principles of inclusive design specifically in the Recreation, Sport and Tourism arena and prepares the learner for further exploration, study and focus on all aspects of lifespan development. The course discusses inclusive and universal design, laws and standards, facility design, programming/events, policies and procedures, communication methods and workplace culture. Students will examine the types and ranges of user identities that contribute to the diversity of the stakeholders in our communities. Restricted to RST Majors until May 4th.
