Course covers principles of theoretical and applied epidemiology, with examples from veterinary and human medicine. The aim of the course is to integrate epidemiologic concepts and quantitative methodology in order to evaluate disease risk and treatment options at the individual and population levels. Topics include causal inference, epidemiologic study design, evaluation of bias, outbreak investigation, and special areas within epidemiology.
Same as CHLH 517. Prerequisite: Graduate student standing or consent of instructor.
