This clinical elective is designed to expose students to a broad range of cardiovascular diseases in an inpatient setting. This includes, but is not limited to, acute coronary disease, heart failures, arrhythmias and valvular disease. Students will also gain knowledge in echocardiography (ECG), stress testing, electrophysiology, and catheterization.
No graduate credit. 2 professional hours. Approved for S/U grading only. Prerequisite: Completion of the Carle Illinois College of Medicine Internal Medicine Clerkship. Restricted to students enrolled in Phase 2 or Phase 3 of the Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
