This section of WRIT 199 is intended for students enrolled in the Illinois Scholars Program. For permission to enroll in the course, please contact Dr. Carolyn Wisniewski at cwisnie@illinois.edu or 217-333-8796. The class will be a learning community. Students will work together in gathering various resources on campus and throughout the community related to past and current experiences at the University of Illinois. The course will include a research project component that will focus on exploration people of color, persons with disabilities, and others of interest who attended, graduated, served as faculty and staff, and those who have led notable lives after their journey here at the University of Illinois. Students will focus on the methodological, epistemological, and working together through the research process from the development of a research project to dissemination of the findings.
