Provides a focused concentration on gross anatomy via literature review and intensive cadaver dissection related to the student’s specific clinical interest. Topics will emphasize clinical conditions that have clear anatomic correlates. Key topics will include the 3D relationships of gross anatomical structures, foundational anatomical knowledge required to interpret results of different imaging modalities, and the application of anatomical knowledge in carrying out surgical, diagnostic, or therapeutic clinical procedures.

No graduate credit. 4 professional hours. Approved for S/U grading only. Available for honors grades. Prerequisite: Restricted to students enrolled in the MD program at Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
