Credit: 3 hours.

In this course you will explore how structured, systems-based thinking – Thinking Process techniques - can be applied to the operations of livestock production systems. Eli Goldratt's approach to problem solving through his "Theory of Constraints" has been applied in businesses in many industries around the world. In this class you will explore both the theories that Goldratt has developed and how they might be applied to livestock production systems. You will, by the end of the course, be able to apply the TOC to livestock systems to improve both biological and economic performance.
