Advanced Design in NPRE

Credit: 4 hours.

Classroom exercise in the conceptual design of a nuclear engineering system involving a synthesis of previous learning in the field of nuclear engineering and related disciplines. The design includes all necessary ingredients for the system, such as core, thermal-hydraulics, shielding, material selection, and control.

Prerequisite: NPRE 448 and NPRE 501.
