Description: Humanities - Hist & Phil, and Cultural Studies - Western course. In this course we explore the history of women and gender by reading and discussing original writing from medieval and early modern women. We learn about these women’s attitudes toward “proper” behavior for women (and men), religion, sexuality, marriage, family, and work firsthand, in their own words.
