Art in Context: The Everyday will focus on the context of the mundane, the ordinary, the routine, and the day-to-day as a creative resource and a critical subject — paying special attention to how our understanding of the everyday has adjusted to the quarantine conditions of a global pandemic. This studio/seminar will incorporate readings, weekly films, studio exercises, and a semester long project—meeting primarily online with offline, site-based components and occasional in-person meetings if conditions are favorable. This section meets mostly online, but may have occasional in-person meetings. You will be charged an Art + Design Facilities Fee which will grant you access to the Art + Design Facilities. Meets with ARTS 457, 1ADB 331.
