Topic: Professional Practice. This section meets mostly online, but may have occasional in-person meetings. You will be charged an Art + Design Facilities Fee which will grant you access to the Art + Design Facilities. This online course is open for fine art students from different disciplines. Students create CV, grant/exhibition/artist residency proposal, application for open call, artist statements, photo representation of artwork, social media handle, and website. Readings on practicing artists will also be the ground of this course. Virtual Chicago commercial/artist run/non-profit gallery and museum visits will be provided. The students will also work and polish a long term project.
