Students will learn constitutive equations, optimal measurement techniques, data reduction and interpretation, and case study applications in lectures and lab sessions. The course is designed for an interdisciplinary audience including all engineering disciplines, chemists, formulators, pharmacists, geologists, physicists, and biologists. Prerequisite: introductory undergraduate-level coursework in at least one of the core areas of fluid mechanics, or solid mechanics, or polymer physics, or colloid physics, or similar. Restriction(s): Restricted to Undergrad - Urbana-Champaign.
