This course provides students with the necessary word part and compound term memorization, repetition and reinforcement to enable mastery of professional medical terminology. 2ND EIGHT WEEKS: REGISTRATION FOR THIS COURSE WILL CLOSE AT 9 AM ON THE FIRST DAY OF INSTRUCTION. NO OVERRIDES WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THAT TIME. IT TAKES 24 HOURS AFTER REGISTERING TO SHOW UP ON COMPASS BUT THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN UNTIL 1 WEEK PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF INSTRUCTION.

Exercise Prescription (3 credits): The application of exercise prescription is complex and requires understanding of anatomy and physiology, exercise prescription and exercise psychology. The major emphasis behind this course will be on connecting theory and practice. Students that complete this course will be prepared to work as personal trainers and to write national certification exams, eg. ACE, NASM, ACSM, if they choose to do so.
