Section Info:
In this course you will enhance your ability to understand, speak and write Italian by extensive practice of the main grammatical structures of Italian. The review of uses of the main grammatical categories will be integrated with a large and varied selection of contemporary print, audio and visual texts that will provide a comprehensive analysis of the language in practice, and will increase your knowledge about Italian society, culture and history. You will complete daily exercises on structural analysis, interpret how the meaning of original Italian texts changes when you apply grammatical transformations, create your own oral and written stories, and discuss them in groups. There are three in-class tests, one final composition based on a project you conduct during the semester, and two short oral exam.
