Illini Student Athlete Transition Seminar. Course is designed to expose student athletes to the unique challenges and opportunities they will face in the course of their personal, academic, and athletic experiences. RST 199 / CHAMPS 101 students will learn survival skills, career and major exploration, and insight to assist in the transition to higher education and the University of Illinois. NOTE: Restricted to student athletes.

Practicum
Section Info:
Students participate in practicum positions at University-approved sites. The practicum course is a 1-credit course that requires you to complete a minimum of 100 hours over the summer term with an agency that relates to the field of recreation, sport, and tourism. The course enhances the practicum experience by leading you through practical steps that empower you in the learning/working experience. The Job Description must be approved and Site Confirmation Form and Affiliation Agreement must be in place prior to the start of the practicum experience. Contact the practicum coordinator for specific instructions 3-weeks prior to the start date. Both the agency and the University provide supervision. Coursework required for credit of course. 1 undergraduate hour. Approved for S/U grading only. Prerequisite: Instructor Approval Required
