The overarching goal of this seminar is for students to be active agents in effective environmental solution-making. Students will gain practical knowledge of the fundamentals of environmental ethics and how the human relationship with non-human nature impacts technology decision-making across sectors and governance levels. Together we will attempt to answer questions like: How do value-systems shape environmental decision-making? How can environmental policies be designed to guarantee equity and justice? And how does technology fit within current ethical frameworks for environmental decision-making?
