Introduction to selected canonical and emerging theories and methodologies of cultural and interpretive studies, with emphasis on reading historiography, criticism, and ethnography related to kinesiology. Through the term, students will create precis, selected annotated bibliography/references; and a dissertation research narrative draft.

Sedentary Behavior and Health The course will cover the key concepts related to sedentary behavior, its measurement and current evidence on the associations between sedentary behavior with health outcomes. Students will critically review current literature, discuss the impact of methodologies used to measure sedentary behavior on the reported associations with health outcomes.
