The class will discuss different genres of documentaries as well as media formats. Student will also learn beginning documentary production techniques to create their own stories. There are no pre-requisites except an interest in journalism, film-making and/or storytelling.

Available topics includes, but isn’t limited to, Excel, Flash/Animate, HTML web design, InDesign, Photoshop, WordPress, Illustrator, and whatever else the class may suggest.

Class will also include studio production jobs for Good Morning Illini’s live broadcast on Fridays. There are no pre-requisites for this course although students should not be taking it concurrently with JOUR 445. This course meets with JOUR 460 (64206) and JOUR 480 (34913)
