Introduces students to the grammar, story structure and elements of documentary storytelling. The class will discuss different genres of documentaries as well as media formats. Student will also learn beginning documentary production techniques to create their own stories. There are no pre-requisites except an interest in journalism, film-making and/or storytelling.

TV Prod: Good Morning Illini
Section Info:
Students will learn videography, editing, writing, and producing video content for Good Morning Illini. Class will also include studio production jobs for Good Morning Illini’s live broadcast on Fridays. There are no pre-requisites for this course although students should not be taking it concurrently with JOUR 445. This course meets with JOUR 460 (64206) and JOUR 480 (34913)
