1 hour. Graduate Seminar in Evolution. Topic: Mate Choice. In this graduate level reading group, we will read the book, "Mate Choice" by author Gil Rosenthal (2017). This is an comprehensive overview of the subject dealing with topics ranging from the measurement of mate choice, the neurological/physiological/genomic bases of mate choice, the implications of mate choice for natural and sexual selection, and the implications of mate choice for speciation. All participants are required to come to class ready to discuss the reading, and all participants must lead the discussion at least once.
