Section Info:
Climate and Weather Policy: Building Capacity for Urban Sustainability. This seminar type course will particularly focus on key issues associated with climate and weather policy, but also with a slant on how much policies can influence urban sustainability. With projections suggesting that 70% of humanity will be living in cities by 2050, we need to pay special attention to the urban environment in relationship to such policies. As a result, some classes will focus on the issues associated with achieving a sustainable urban environment. The course will involve some lectures, including bringing in a number of expert outside speakers, extensive discussions and participation by the students by having each student participate in speaking before the class on select topics.
