Sequential Design
Section Info:
Topic: Sequential Design Description: In this course we will consider problems where certain design choices must be made in order to achieve an inferential objective, and these choices should be updated as more information becomes available. For example, this is the case when selecting the dosage levels in a series of experiments whose goal is to understand the efficacy of a drug, when assigning items in a computerized exam whose goal is to determine the mastery level of the examinee, when allocating resources in sensor networks, etc. We will explore designs for various inferential objectives and analyze them theoretically. Pre-requisites: A graduate-level course on Mathematical Statistics, such as STAT 510-511.
