Credit: 3 hours.

Students will work with a wide variety of painting materials, methods and strategies in a studio art context. Students will explore painting concepts, form, and technique through production and critique of artworks, as well as address theories and histories of visual representation through readings and discussion. Students with little or no background in visual art are encouraged to participate along with those who have significant knowledge and experience.

Painting & Collage Creations
Section Info:
Topic: Painting & Collage Creations. In this course we will learn how to create our own visual language as we examine color, composition, and content. Through the completion of four or five projects we will investigate and explore the uses of paint and traditional art materials along with techniques that include collage elements. This section for Chancellor's Scholars only; other students may only enroll with consent of instructor and the Campus Honors Program. This class will be taught online, through Zoom. Class will meet, through Zoom, during the original posted hours of 9:30 -11:20, Tuesdays and Thursdays. All tools and collage materials will be provided. Bags of supplies can be picked up on August 21 at Campus Honors House.
