At the same time, roles and responsibilities for business information professionals is rapidly changing. This course is designed to provide fundamental knowledge in business information services and help practice the application of business information for different user groups. This course will especially help those, both in the LIS and IM tracks, who plan to pursue careers in such roles as consultants, business or social sciences librarians, corporate research analysts, and knowledge management specialists. Additionally, students will have an opportunity to practice how to use business information to answer complex business questions in diverse settings. This course also serves as the foundation for Information Consulting (IS 590) and Applied Business Research (IS 540). Restriction(s): Restricted to Graduate - Urbana-Champaign. Restricted to students in the Information Sciences department.
